Privacy Policy

Lineup is a free event waitlist service operated by Dawit ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

When you create an account we store your email address and the time you joined. When you sign up for an event we store your name, email address, a unique referral code tied to your registration, and the code of whoever referred you (if any). We also store a session cookie that keeps you signed in — it is deleted when you sign out or your session expires.

We do not collect payment information, location data, or any data beyond what is listed above.

Why we collect it

Your data is used solely to operate the waitlist service — to send you a sign-in link, confirm your event registration, calculate your position in line, and attribute referrals correctly. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running Lineup.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept for as long as you have an account. Event registration data is kept until the event organiser deletes the event or their account. When an account is deleted, all associated events and registrant data are permanently removed from our database.

Third-party services

We rely on the following sub-processors to operate Lineup. Each processes only the minimum data required for their function:

Neon — cloud Postgres database that stores all application data.
Resend — transactional email delivery (sign-in links, booking confirmations).
Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. If you use "Sign in with Google", Google shares your email address with us. No other Google profile data is requested.
Upstash Redis — in-memory store used for rate limiting requests. No personal data is persisted here.
Vercel — hosting platform that serves the application and may log IP addresses transiently for security purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party.

Cookies

We set one first-party cookie: a session token that authenticates you with the dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party cookies.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing dawitworkujima@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Account holders can also delete their account directly from the dashboard, which permanently erases all associated data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Lineup after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
